Established in Nelson we are a family business, grown from humble beginnings and now upholding a proud legacy. We are built on family values, as strong today as when the late Bill Gibbons founded the business in 1950. We are built on multi-generational relationships and a deep commitment to people, customers and community with a drive to give back.

Youth development

As founders and sponsors of the Victory Boxing Gym, we are helping our kids excel, physically and mentally. The aim of Victory Boxing is to create a positive impact on young kids in the community, teaching life skills, honesty, respect, caring, and developing the opportunities for talented individuals.

Skills and training

We are investing in our future tradespeople through a unique and significant investment to a Trades Academy at Nelson Boys College to help attract and train young tradesmen at the college. The Gibbons Trades Education Centre will provide a steady flow of employees into a sector with an ageing workforce which will face excessive demand for the rebuild of Christchurch.
