Gibbons Construction worked with sister company Waimea Sawmillers to replace 22 tonnes of steel with 50m3 of locally grown and produced engineered wood in the roof of this warehouse and office building.
The initiative was recognised in the 2009 Tasman Nelson Environment Awards, when Gibbons Construction and Waimea were awarded the Commercial Category winner.
