Gibbons Construction Limited
Gibbons Construction Limited has been in business for over 65 years. The Company is a Registered Master Builder. It currently employs around 30 trades-people and is part of the privately owned Gibbons Group of Companies which comprises around 125 people.
Over its 65-year history the Company has had considerable experience in all types of major construction projects. Gibbons Holdings Limited, as the parent company, operates through a number of subsidiary companies across four sectors of commerce: construction, sawmilling, property development and investment, and forestry. Along with the construction company the main trading operation is that of sawmilling trading under the name Waimea Sawmillers Limited (www.waisaw.co.nz) which has an annual output of 50,000 m3 of sawn timber in both Pinus Radiata and Douglas Fir supplying markets in Asia, the Pacific, Australia and throughout New Zealand.
Stressed Concrete Products, a division of Gibbons Construction Limited, manufactures precast and prestressed concrete components. The factory is located in Tahunanui and was purchased from Fletchers in 1984.
