History & Ownership   Building Strong Relationships   Stressed Concrete

Founded by the late Bill Gibbons in the 1950’s, Gibbons Construction Ltd remains a family owned & managed company.

The company has undertaken a wide range of projects highlighting the diversity and skill-set of its workforce. In-house services include joinery, painting and pre-cast concrete.

As part of the parent company Gibbons Holdings Ltd, Gibbons Construction Ltd boasts a very strong financial position.

The successful delivery of many projects has resulted in Gibbons Construction Ltd building strong relationships with local subcontractors, consultants and suppliers across the South Island.

We take pride in our high standards and honest dealings across all parties substantiated by feedback across the region. We are trusted, respected and sub-contractors enjoy working with us.

While Nelson based, we operate across the top of the South. We have completed projects as far afield as Pike River, Takaka, Inangahua and Blenheim.

Stressed Concrete Products, a division of Gibbons Construction Limited manufactures precast and pre-stressed concrete components from its factory in Tahunanui.

Manufacturing runs all year round with a fully covered heated steel bed. Products supplied to the broader market include precast panels, unispan flooring and interspan ribs.
